The plants raised are being sold directly to Garden-Advice members and viewers as well as local people in the schools area.
The income for schools project is also being run on the bases of a simple business model to provide the students with live experience in a commercial environment which includes marketing after sales service.

Gardenadvice.co.uk has for some time been using members of our young gardeners club and our schools wildlife garden scheme to test a number of gardening products such as the new mycorrhizal fungi products entering the gardening market place and also to help us collect data on the climate mainly thought the UK.
Although the research is quite basic in its nature its critical for the recommendations we make in our advice to our members and viewers around the world. As we are developing this research program further its hoped that we will be able to use it to fund some of the equipment required by the participation schools.

In May 2004 after 12 months planning we stared our school wildlife project as an extension of our Young Gardeners club. The aim of the scheme is through the establishment of a number of schools wildlife gardens and the creation of online software to encourage students to educate themselves in three main areas -
The use of the internet for research
Publish information and research on the internet
Communicate and exchange information with other students on joint projects
With the first stage of the scheme now complete the second stage is to extend the schools involved to take in a number of schools from around the world including China and India.
